THE
START
OF
LINA'S
ADVENTURES
SLAYERS
It started off when Lina decided to use the dragon slave on a bunch of bandits
who had captured a dragon..... She took care of the bandits but did not realize
that the dragon had survived. Lina took a statue from the bandits that she
thought would fetch her a good price at the market. Lina was walking down a road
in a forest when the bandits attacked her. Before she could do anything, Gourry,
the mercenary came and saved Lina. Lina became obsessed with Gourry's sword and
forgot to tell him that she was a mage..
Gourry
and Lina went around the country beating up bandits that challenged the
travelers along the way. What they did not realize was that Rezo the red priest
wanted the statue and that he was sending the bandits to them.
After
some time Zelghadis captured Lina at "that time of the month when she
loses all her spells". For some reason He let Lina go and became her
protector.
Rezo
managed to get the statue and then he resurrected Shabirnigdo the dark god, so
that he could get his eyesight which he longed for. What Rezo did not know was
that Shabirnigdo lived in Rezo's eyes, so when Rezo brought back Shabirnigdo,
Rezo became evil.

After
many tries Lina defeated Shabirnigdo with "darkness beyond
twilight............ I pledge myself to you. GIGA SLAY"

some time. A copy Rezo appeared and tried to destroy Lina. But Lina, Syphil,
Amelia, Gourry, and Zel managed to destroy the copy after the death of Eris, the
woman who made copy Rezo.

The stranger, Martina, casts a curse onto the headband that whenever Lina hits
someone, it is magically reflected back to her tenfold. Lina finally
figures this out... with the help of Xellos (Xellos takes Gourry's hand and puts
it on Lina's <ahem> which causes Lina to kick Gourry in the <ahem>
which the curse reflects back to Lina and she sinks down in pain). Lina

brags about it). Martina ends up getting caught in the curse as well

So off they go to the lake. Their first attempt is to use Zelgadis as an
anchor/bait but the dragon ignores him. Then they try to disguise the boat
as a dragon but he is too smart and just destroys the boat. That is enough
for the day and they settle down for the evening. Ashford tells Amelia why
he does this and his experience of becoming a chief. The next day, they
try Gourry as bait and it works. One dragon coming up... except it takes
time to prepare... time that Lina will not put up with. So they leave
empty-handed (more like, dragging Lina from the restaurant).
Episode

The group passes by Seirune and Amelia wants to go home. Unfortunately,
something is wrong and they arrive to a funeral procession. Prince Phil
went out for a ride and got blown up so the entire kingdom is in mourning.
During the night, a mysterious stranger (no, it is not Martina again) breaks
into Amelia's room but Lina drives him off. The next day, the group leaves
for the spot where Phil was last seen. Suddenly, they are attacked by
demons. The stranger shows up again and it is Phil! Together with
his daughter, they fight off the demons and are reunited again.

Arriving back in Seirune, the city welcomes back its beloved ruler. Phil
arrives back at the castle and is greeted by his nephew, Alfred (along with his
retainers: Kanzeil and Mazenda) and his younger brother, Christopher. Lina
determines it was probably Christopher who tried to kill Phil but keeps it to
herself. Her suspicions turn out right when Alfred invites them over and
tells her about his father's plot to become king. While investigating,
they are suddenly attacked by monsters - Kanzeil and Mazenda. Seeing they
cannot win, Lina heads to a temple located at the center of the city. When
Lina is at the center of the star, Mazenda traps Lina so she cannot cast any
spells. However, this is a permanent fixture as Lina is now spell-less.
Episode
10: All the villains are in Chindu? Regaining magical power!
With her magical ability lost, Lina heads off in search of a magic doctor.
On the way, she runs into Xellos who is traveling with Martina (having saved her
from bandits, she is now infatuated with him). While Martina is traveling
with Xellos, she is the perfect companion; however, Xellos leaves for awhile so
he can see what havoc Martina will play on Lina. And havoc she plays on
her since Lina cannot fight back with magic. Finally, they arrive at the
magic doctor's house to find out it is run by a little girl! Her
grandfather passed away awhile ago so she runs the business. Rummaging
through books, she finds the cure but Martina decides to add something to the
ingredients... which ends up blowing up the house. They get attacked again
by demons but this time, Lina notices the talisman Xellos are wearing are magic
amplifiers. In typical Lina-fashion, she gets her hands on them and her
magic has returned. However, while Martina was in the cauldron, she finds
a book... a copy of the Claire Bible!
Episode 11: The voice of impending
doom! Tear to shreds, Laguna
Blade!
While Gourry, Phil, Amelia and
Zelgadis wait for Lina's return, Kanzeil and Mazenda return to transport them
into an alternate dimension. Here, the monsters are stronger.
Meanwhile, Lina is busy reading the Claire Bible and is about to learn the most
powerful spell when the last page is covered by scribbles (Kira in her younger
days). Martina wants the power too and grabs the book away from Lina.
However, it bursts into flame which she blames Lina for and Lina flatly denies.
Quickly, she returns to fight the monsters but since they are in their
dimension, she must locate the source of their power and destroy it.
Kanzeil and Mazenda escape taking Phil as hostage.
Episode 12: Donden returns a gift?
The unexpected truth!
While tracking down Phil, Lina
fills in the rest that she has learned a new spell from the Claire Bible - the
Ragnor Blade but she does not know if she can cast it nor control it.
Amelia runs back to the group and informs them Christopher has renounced his
claim to the throne. Their chief suspect gone, there is only one person
left - Alfred. They go to his house where he confesses the truth.
After he calls for Kanzeil and Mazenda, they kill him. Kanzeil wants to
isolate Lina so he takes the building (and most of the ground) up into the sky.
He tries to kill Phil but Xellos blocks the fireball. The monsters want to
know what Xellos is doing here, obviously knowing him before. Xellos takes
Phil to a safe place but Amelia, Gourry, Lina and Zelgadis are caught on the
floating island. Mazenda is quickly killed by Gourry's sword of light
leaving only Kanzeil.
Episode 13: On the verge of
falling! The time when ambition collapses!
When Phil wakes up, Xellos
explains what happened to him. Enraged, he grabs Xellos for a moment, then
decides to jump on the mountain. Regardless, he is a long ways off.
Meanwhile, Kanzeil is battling it out with the group. His trick is to jump
into an alternate dimension so the group cannot hit or hurt him. After a
long fight and a Dragon Slave later, Lina determines she cannot hit him if he
keep teleporting away. Her only chance is the Ragnor Blade to cut through
the alternative dimension. He does not know the power of the spell and is
cut in half. With Kanzeil dead, the spell over the island is broken and
comes falling towards Seirune. The only thing is to destroy the island
with a Dragon Slave... unfortunately it also destroys a part of Seirune.
Episode 14: Forbidden dance? Where
is the strongest spell?!
Taking a break, Lina and
Amelia enjoy swimming in a pool. She is approached by a shady guy who will
see them now. Lina makes an offer of 1000 for a map but he wants more - so
Lina sweetens the deal with a fireball. The map shows the location of a
powerful spell which they hope is the Claire Bible. While searching, they
come across two twin sisters who are also searching for the same thing (and much
to Lina's irritation, got the map a lot cheaper). These twins (who look
like Shampoo from Ranma 1/2) are martial arts experts and can block their
fireballs with their weapons. Managing to get rid of them for awhile,
Gourry finds the temple and enters it. However, the bandits want their
money and come chasing them as well. Throw in one goofy looking monster
who is guarding the temple and you have a recipe for disaster. But Lina
has come too far and while they others are fighting, sneaks around to grab the
treasure. But it turns out to be a pair of costumes and a spellbook.
She has no choice but to put it on with Amelia and learn the song to wipe out
their enemies. Everyone stops to watch them sing. At the end of the
song, a tornado of rose petals sweeps the room. Learning from the twins it
is festival songs, an angry Lina Dragon Slave's the room. However, Martina
saw Lina sings and teases her (as you know by know, no one teases Lina and gets
away with it).
Episode 15: Giant Crash? Battle
tower Ultima!
While camping out, Xellos
tells the scary story of a puppet master living in a tower. Unfortunately,
he did not make it up and they are camped a short distance from the actual
tower! Not only that, but it may contain a copy of the Claire Bible.
The one downside is, rumor has it that the puppet master still lives there and
will turn anyone into a doll who trespasses. After trying it once during
the day and being spooked out of their wits, they only way to get into the tower
is by wearing doll costumes. When they enter, they are greeted by a jester
who says they have to pass his challenges if they want to meet him at the top.
If they lose the challenge, they will be turned into dolls. As they go up
the stairs, they are greeted by a different puppet/monster that challenges
them... and each one gets turned into a doll. Finally, it is down to just
Lina and she makes it to the top. Somehow, Xellos is turned back to normal
and the puppet master recognizes him. Figuring out the puppet master is a doll
as well, Lina Dragon Slave's the place. Back outside, Xellos skirts the
question how he knew him (by kissing Lina on the cheek and making her blush).
Meanwhile, Gourry keeps enjoying his costume.
Episode 16: Curve ball of
resentment! Powerful fastball of willpower!
While fighting for a meatball in a
restaurant, another person in the restaurant sees Lina's fighting prowess and
makes her a proposition - be his partner in the Brass Raquets tournament.
Lina declines but then Martina shows up (wearing tennis-wear) with her partner,
Keith. It seems Keith is always the winner and heckles the older man that
he will trounce the competition again, especially finding Martina. Lina
accepts his challenge and goes off to train with Ruud. The purpose of
Brass Racquets is similar to tennis - a racquet with no strings redirects a
magical ball depending on the person's willpower. After a very vigorous
training session (showing Ruud made the right choice), the tournament begins.
Martina and Keith wipe out their opponents. Then Xellos decides to enter
with Amelia (it is a mixed doubles tournament). They lose badly but Xellos
somehow 'mixes' his racquet with Lina's! Lina faces off against Martina;
when she goes to hit the ball, it goes right through her racquet and socks her
in the face. After a few more times of getting hit in the face, Xellos
confesses up and Gourry throws down her racquet. Enraged like you have never
seen before, Lina ends up destroying most of the stadium for her revenge against
Martina. Both teams get disqualified and Amelia and Xellos win the prize -
the Claire Gable trophy.
Episode 17: The rumored girl is
Zelgadis?
While following a rumor of the
whereabouts of a Claire Bible, the group end up at a town populated only by
females. Sounds great... until they learn any male found there will be
killed on sight. While Gourry, Xellos and Zelgadis are putting on their
costumes, a girl runs into them. She is being chased by a monster and asks
for help. Zelgadis quickly dispatches the monster and brings back the
girl. It turns out she is running away because she does not want to take
the purifying ritual becoming a priestess. They leave her alone and look
around the town for the Claire Bible. While having lunch, they get
attacked by an ice monster called Evia. During the fight, they get
redirected to the lake where Princess Miwan is taking the test. Zelgadis
and Gourry get imprisoned in the ice but Zel has had enough - he breaks out
(losing his costume in the process) and destroys the startled Evia who thought
he was a she. The Queen has grabbed Lina and threatens to do away with her
for masquerading as females. Miwan throws off her clothes and says he
will not pretend to be female anymore. All the other girls remove their
female clothes so they do not have to pretend anymore.
Episode 18: Temple of sand! The
secret of the Giga Slave!
While eating, Xellos explains
there is a temple on the mountain that may have another Claire Bible manuscript.
While Lina is having another fit for not telling them sooner, Martina shows up
to save her beloved. Later, they head up to the small temple. Upon
entering it, they find themselves in massive desert. For miles and miles
passed the horizon, there are rows of large monuments. Suddenly, a little
old lady appears who introduces herself as Auntie Aqua. She is the keeper
of the temple and explains the page they want is several day's journey.
They leave to load up on supplies and come back. During the first night,
Amelia has a nightmare and wakes up Lina. Unable to sleep, she talks to
Gourry but gets wakened but Auntie Aqua. She asks Lina to follow her to
the lake and tells her to peer in. Lina sees herself and the group; she is
about to cast the Giga Slave spell but she loses control and destroys the world.
Auntie Aqua explains this is a possible future. Suddenly, Zeigram appears
and attacks them. A new opponent appears on the rift above them... Chaos
Dragon Gaav.
Episode 19: Finally detected?
Xelloss' true form!
Gaav blasts Lina with a gust
of wind which she deflects. But Gaav is more interested in Xellos and
wants to know what interest the Hellmaster has in Lina. He begins to beat
up Xellos who takes his punches. Zeigram appears again to attack Lina and
she flies away with Auntie Aqua. The group begin their attack on Zeigram.
Meanwhile, Gaav has taken his mighty sword and sliced Xellos nearly in half.
Still not talking, Xellos disappears. Martina finally shows up and tries
to protect the group with a Zoamelgustav charm... and succeeds! The
medallion protects her but Lina grabs her and they all begin to run with Lina
dragging Martina behind her. Gaav transforms into his true self - a
massive multi-headed dragon. Suddenly, Auntie Aqua bursts out of Martina's
medallion. She transforms into another dragon and fights Gaav. The
group leave the temple and head back into town. Xellos comes back but is
still no help in answering Lina's questions. They decide the best course
is to keep going on in search of the Claire Bible.
Episode 20: We must go! Aim for the
Valley of Dragons!
Xellos is looking for a
specific place called Dragon's Peak but he does not know where it is. In
the meantime, Lina runs into a little boy. Apologizing, he walks away but
is tripped up by a wire leading from Lina to the change purse he just stole.
Because he tried to get her money, Lina makes him do menial tasks to serve her.
When they are talking, the boy says he knows where the Dragon's Peak is.
Lina gives him money in exchange for a map. After they leave, Martina
shows up and promises the boy money if he takes her where the others are going.
Finally, the group gets to Dragon's Peak and there are dragons everywhere!
One gold dragon lands in front of them and demands why they are here.
Recognizing Xellos, the dragon transforms into a person and does what he asks.
The dragon, Milgasia, leads them to a portal but says only Lina may enter to see
the true Claire Bible. Suddenly, they get attacked by Zeigram.
Milgasia and Lina enter the portal... and so does Martina just before it
closes.
Episode 21: Truth of the
millennium! The traitorous Chaos-Dragon
King!
While Zeigram and Xellos
battle it out, two spheres appear and attack Amelia, Gourry and Zelgadis.
Meanwhile, Lina finds herself in a crystal cavern. Unfortunately, Martina
is here as well. Milgasia explains why he fears Xellos and the power he
possesses. Auntie Aqua shows up as well since she is the memory of the
water dragon lord. Meanwhile, the group has their hands full with the two
spheres. The gray one defends while the red one attacks making a nearly
impenetrable team. Auntie Aqua leads Lina and Martina to the real Claire
Bible - a sphere in a small room. Martina makes a leap for it but is
blocked by an invisible shield. Lina walks over and touches it... getting
transported to another realm. The story of Chaos-Dragon Gaav and the Water
Dragon Lord are told. Lina asks several questions about the Giga Slave and
the Lord of Nightmares. Lina has gotten what she needed and returns.
Seeing an opening, Martina leaps for the sphere but it disappears.
Suddenly, Gaav appears and attacks them. Milgasia covers them as they
retreat. On the outside, the others have destroyed the spheres and Zeigram
is killed by Xellos. But suddenly, Gaav appears and slices Xellos in half.
Episode 22: The stolen Sword of
Light! The final hour of the
Chaos-Dragon!
Gaav lifts up the
heavily-damaged Xellos and demands to know what the Hellmaster is up to.
Xellos winks, says "that's a secret" and disappears. They begin
their attack on Gaav who seems impervious to their attacks. Amelia is
badly hurt but Milgasia returns to revive her. Nearly everyone has been
smitten by Gaav, Lina sees no choice but to use the Ragnor Blade. Lina and
Gaav face off - Lina takes off his shoulder and Gaav retreats a distance away.
Using this opportunity, the group decides to retreat but Martina runs into the
young boy. Gaav chases them but suddenly, he screams out. The young
boy behind him has blasted Gaav. Screaming in pain, the young boy
introduces himself as Hellmaster Phibrizo, then kills Gaav. It turns out
that Gaav's goals were not compatible with his own. With Lina not
accepting his terms, he takes Gourry as hostage and disappears.
Episode 23: Menacing demon
swordsmen! Journey of reunions!
Lina wakes up from a bad dream
from when she first met Gourry. Trying to keep a stiff upper lip during
breakfast, Lina vows she will bring Gourry back. Along the way, they run
into bandits which raises Lina's spirits. She sees a bush shake and with
glee, sends a fireball in. A white flag raises and to Lina's astonishment,
it is Sylphiel! She wonders where Gourry is and is saddened when she finds
out. But something has happened to her town and she went out looking for
help. Suddenly, Phibrizo appears in a tree above them. He has gotten
bored while waiting for Lina's answer to join him so he has sent out a henchman
to attack them. The masked man is using Gourry's sword of light except he
is using it to its full power! Not only can he attack at full strength
(the blast from the sword knocks down rows of trees), he can use the sword to
repel magic... even a Dragon Slave. Meanwhile, Zangulus (remember him from
Season 1) sees the destruction and joins in. Lina summons another Ragnor
Blade and manages to crack the mask... revealing Gourry!
Episode 24: Trap turned evil! Ghost
Town!
When everyone sees who they
are fighting against, Phibrizo teleports him away. Having some breathing
space, Lina considers the Giga Slave again but quickly dismisses it as that is
what Phibrizo wanted. But there are other matters as Sylphiel wants them
to go to Sairaag. When they arrive, they find the entire town is back
again as it was before Rezo destroyed it. They go back to Sylphiel's house
where her father explains what happened: Phibrizo has resurrected the town as
ghosts. Phibrizo is residing at a giant dome outside the city so they take
a look at it. They try to penetrate it but it has no effect; suddenly, a
door appears so Lina runs in only to run back out again. They decide to
try later when the town is asleep. Lina runs off by herself but Sylphiel
decides to follow. All the townspeople awake and start to attack them.
Even though they are ghosts, they still do not want to hurt them. Lina
breaks through the dome using her Ragnor Blade and right into Phibrizo.
Episode 25: Spirits of the dead!
Lina's final decision!
Lina, Sylphiel and Zangulus
continue their journey into the temple where they find Phibrizo sitting atop a
giant crystal - filled with the townspeople! Lina demands to know where
Gourry is so Phibrizo brings him out - encased in a crystal tomb.
Meanwhile, Amelia, Zelgadis and Martina are battling the ghosts. Zelgadis
decides on a retreat and they head into the sewers. Back again to Phibrizo
where Zangulus attacks him. Lina casts a Dragon Slave... and so does
Sylphiel! Turns out she decided to specialize in that one spell and at
least she casts it well. Phibrizo, not expecting a double Dragon Slave, is
dissipated in the blast. However, while they are wondering what to do,
Phibrizo emerges from the crystal. The rest of the group comes in just
when Phibrizo makes his final demand that Lina cast the Giga Slave. He
summons up several spheres and crushing them, each of the heroes falls dead.
Lina is the last one left so she casts the Giga Slave seeing no other option.
Suddenly, the sphere engulfs Lina and she is gone. Phibrizo is delighted
that he will see the end of the world. But then, Lina appears again;
however, she is glowing with a golden energy. Lina blasts Phibrizo back
and grabs him as he cowers from her power as she announces, "I am the Lord
of Nightmares."
Episode 26: Go to NEXT! And then...
For the first time, Phibrizo
is scared. He babbles on and pleads with her but Lina destroys him.
The rest of the group awaken from their slumber and see Lina. However,
Xellos points out she is not Lina anymore and will never come back to the world.
Lina begins to fly away among the destruction heading towards the sky but Gourry
is determined not to let her go. He leaps across the boulders trying to
reach Lina. He manages to reach her and grab his arm but Lina, being an
empty shell, just looks at him before she disappears. However, Gourry
wakes up to find himself in an embrace with Lina in some alternate realm.
They share a loving moment before they are transported back to the real world.
Meanwhile, the group mourns the death of Lina and Gourry. Suddenly, Lina
and Gourry fade back again and still in the embrace. Thinking Gourry is
taking advantage of her, she pretty much destroys Gourry who knows nothing what
is going on. Afterwards in an inn, Lina explains she does not remember
anything that happened. Suddenly, Martina bursts in and there is going to
be a weeding - between her and Zangulus. During the wedding, Xellos
appears and gives back Gourry's sword of light. But in typical Lina
fashion, she causes some chaos at the wedding, and the entire fake castle falls
down! They decide to leave with the rest of the group running behind them.
